I encounter it already not first time. What can be the problem?
Something went wonky
Looks like you have encountered a bug in SequenceServer. Could you please report this incident to your admin or to SequenceServer Google Group (if you are the admin), quoting the error message below?
Hi Nataliya,
The problem seems to be that Ruby is somehow failing to set the $CHILD_STATUS global variable that SequenceServer uses to determine exit status of BLAST process and thus determine if BLAST completed successfully or failed (and the reason of failure).
Why this variable is not set is unclear to me. What is your Ruby version? Do you always see this error message or only when you try a specific BLAST search?
Priyam
Thank you Priyam for following the question.
What is your Ruby version?
The Ruby version installed is 2.0.0p648 (2015-12-16) - seems like really old, but should be Ok according to https://www.sequenceserver.com/#installation-and-configuration
I have tried to update it (just with yum install ), but it reports that I have latest version installed.
Do you always see this error message or only when you try a specific BLAST search?
If this message appears rear, but once it happens, then it appears for any following searches in any genomes. We have very big genomes.
